This is a review with some mild spoilers, so proceed with caution. In my opinion, Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile is Efron’s best work. We take somebody we love, Zac Efron, who has become an actor that we have trusted. Then, boom. We flip that person we had loved for many years, and made us not only look at him a different way, but made him a better actor in our eyes. Now this movie isn’t that great, but if you view it in a different perspective, you’ll like this movie.

Berlinger is known for his documentaries including, “Conversations With A Serial Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes”. Efron has that “It” factor to go along with his good looks and charm which makes him perfectly cast to play Bundy. That is what makes this film succeed. It’s based on Kendall’s memoir. I think it’s always important to keep in mind based on is not a translation, i.e. it’s not a word for word scenario, rather it’s the concept of the novel.

Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile does an amazing job at telling the shocking, disturbing, but interesting story of the infamous serial killer Ted Bundy. Award winning actor Zac Efron does an outstanding job at portraying the sick minded Ted Bundy and is able to recreate the same effect of innocence that Bundy was able to do in reality.

Movie Conclusion:

Some people have a misconception about about the POV of the movie. The POV is from his lover’s perspective and it shows how he charmed her, including the other women he had in contact with and basically the media in the 70s. I, as the viewer have admittedly yet disturbingly has been charmed by Zac Efron’s outstanding acting. There were moments where I rooted for Ted Bundy and I had to remind myself that he’s a crazy, evil dude.
