A serious enough story although surprises were frequent and startling at times! Educational: some splendid pencil drawings in an artist’s sketch pad added intrigue and much cultural awareness presented. Altogether rather junior but not unappreciated across the age range.

Camera work was very well achieved; reaching Distinction – indeed Academy Award material; showing us each character’s face generously and colourful, special lighting effects among breathtaking natural views liberally evident. Some foreign language included with clear, and undetracting subtitles. I think it was aimed near audiences of 8 to 12 years.
My daughter grew up w/ “Dora the Explorer” books, so how perfect to have a kids film (for adults too), bring the books to life?
